BOM Laws
Blood Oath Mafia’s Laws to Live By
6.25.10j
1.) NO TEAM KILLING! If a BOM member is team killed and no serious apology is instantly given, retribution shall be sought immediately. Hunt them down. If they don’t still don’t apologize after the round, they have lost their right to play with us. No exceptions.
2.) Have [initial] respect for everyone you meet online while representing our clan. Wait until they start it, and then finish it. If they are just running their mouth, mute them. The most they can get is a reaction; they grow bored when they don’t.
3.) Recruitment:
- a – Recruits are designated with an “r” at the end of their in-game tag: [BOMr].
- b – They must spend an undesignated amount of time as a recruit (probation).
- c – The Inner Circle (IC) will decide privately on the result of the recruits’ probation.
- d – Recruits are not added to any official online gaming teams.
- e – Recruits must me AT LEAST 16 years old.
- f – The workings of the clan and what is expected should be inferred to new recruits.
- g – BOM membership is a privilege, and membership is invite only. Explain to recruits that they cannot be in other clans, guilds, squads, etc. If you leave BOM, don’t expect to come back.
- h – Recruits will be expected to wear the recruit tag at all times, as this shows their dedication to the clan.
4.) To become a “Made” Member of the Blood Oath Mafia, “BOM ” should be added to the beginning of the member’s GAMERTAG; BOM Awesome Name. This can be done at any time after they are a Member.
5.) Respect the hierarchy of the clan. This also goes for lobby priority. Leaders wear an asterisk ( * ) in their clan tag.
- * Godfather/Dons ¬
- * Underbosses ¬
- Made Members ¬
- Members ¬
- Recruits ¬
- the rest of the world
6.) Show up and participate in clan activities each week.
- a – Get better and help each other out.
- b – Pay attention to your clan mate’s patterns and paths.
- c – During practice sessions, players facing the wall in a corner are “AFK”. Leave them alone.
7.) No cheating, hacking, or modding. Leaving the outside edge of a map would be considered cheating…. creative jumping would not.
8.) To avoid confusion, GUESTS (people playing with us that aren’t actually in the clan) that wish to wear the BOM tag should wear the tag in lowercase: [bom]. They also have to follow the rules of our clan whilst wearing the guest tag.
9.) Try to meet up on Wednesday nights to practice. Once we reach 6 online we will create private matches and play each other.
10.) Communicate! Nothing works better in team based games than acting like a team. Talk it up as much as possible to let people know what’s going on where they are not.
- a – “Going dark” means everyone stops talking and/or making any movement that makes sound. (It’s good to check your map to know where your teammates are located as well…) You then report on anything you hear around the map because it won’t be any of us. “Going dark” generally happens when the odds are in our favor and we’re just cleaning house.
- b – Never use voice chat to cause a disruption.
- c – If you’re talking to someone on the phone, or in your house, mute your microphone.
- d – Let people know nicely if they are breathing in their microphone before muting them.
- e – Use of racial slurs will not be tolerated.
11.) All members must register on forums and participate in clan discussion:
CLAN STRUCTURE: (The list below is of the IC only)
| Godfather | Chris (BOM Shady) |
|---|---|
| Don | Brad (BOM The Hustler) |
| Underbosses | Phillip (BOM VDubMeister) Andy (BOM Rabmle On) Mark (BOM The Rustler) Joe (BOM The Doc) Ron (BOM NANDO) |
- All decisions regarding the clan will be made by the IC and handed down throughout the ranks.
- The Blood Oath Mafia is invite only. That being said, only Underbosses and above can recruit.
- Anyone can be a guest in the clan, as long as they aren’t removed ex-recruits or denied by the IC.
FROM THE ART OF WAR (Sun Tzu):
(cliff notes by Shady)
Be sneaky…
If your enemy is secure at all points, be prepared for him. If he is in superior strength, evade him. If your opponent is temperamental, seek to irritate him. Pretend to be weak, that he may grow arrogant. If he is taking his ease, give him no rest. If his forces are united, separate them. If sovereign and subject are in accord, put division between them. Attack him where he is unprepared, appear where you are not expected.
Be quick…
Though we have heard of stupid haste in war, cleverness has never been seen associated with long delays.
Be efficient…
Bring war material with you from home, but forage on the enemy… use the conquered foe to augment one’s own strength.
Be smart…
He will win who knows when to fight and when not to fight. He will win who knows how to handle both superior and inferior forces. He will win whose army is animated by the same spirit throughout all its ranks. He will win who, prepared himself, waits to take the enemy unprepared.
Be sure…
Making no mistakes is what establishes the certainty of victory, for it means conquering an enemy that is already defeated.
And resolute!
Should the enemy strengthen his van, he will weaken his rear; should he strengthen his rear, he will weaken his van; should he strengthen his left, he will weaken his right; should he strengthen his right, he will weaken his left. If he sends reinforcements everywhere, he will everywhere be weak.
CUT: It means only one thing, and everything: cut. Once committed to fight, cut. Everything else is secondary. Cut. This is your duty and purpose, your hunger. There is no rule more important, no commitment that overrides that one. Cut. The lines are a portrayal of the dance. Cut from the void, not from bewilderment. Cut the enemy as quickly and directly as possible. Cut with certainty. Cut decisively, resolutely. Cut into his strength. Flow through the gaps in his guard. Cut him. Cut him down utterly. Don’t allow him a breath. Crush him. Cut him without mercy to the depths of his spirit. It is the balance to life: death. It is the dance with death.
It is the law a warrior lives by, or he dies.
